Acne is an extremely common skin problem that many teens have to deal with, as well as some adults. When those hormones kick in, so does a case of acne. Although there are numerous products on the market today that claim to reduce or eliminate acne problems, there are many more natural ways which would be less expensive and better for your overall skin care. Natural acne treatments have little to no side-effects and best of all, they are made from natural products.
Causes acne may include:
Food – if you have food allergies, make every attempt to avoid those. Do not eat or at the very least, reduce the amount of oily or spicy food you consume. Milk contains hormones and/or seafood with iodine which may be adding to your acne issues. Try to avoid sugar and sweets.
It is suggested that you eat green vegetables and foods that are rich in zinc.
Makeup – try not to wear makeup products as they clog pores. If you do wear makeup, choose water-based brands and make sure to clean the applicators and your skin on a daily basis.
Stress – when you are stressed, it will have an effect on your skin condition which in turn could cause a flare-up of acne. You should make every attempt to avoid as much stress in your life as you possibly can.
Touch – try to avoid touching your face with your hands; your hands can be very oily and dirty which will transfer to your face.
Hair – keep your hair clean and off your face.
Moisturizers and cleansers – don’t use oil-based products such as moisturizers and cleansers with oil.
The best thing that you can do for your face and any other area that has acne is to find one or more of natural ways for dealing with acne.
Soap and water – you should gently wash your face at least twice a day with clean water and a mild soap. Sulphur based soap is good, and soap with benzoyl excessively oily skin.
Fluids – drink a minimum of eight glasses of water per day to eliminate waste materials.
Garlic – garlic is one of the best natural acne treatments in the world. It is loaded with antioxidants, and has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial benefits.
To use it as a topical, you will cut a clove and rub it on the acne spot as soon as it appears.
Siberian Ginseng – is perfect for acne that is caused by a hormone imbalance. When it is consumed on daily basis it helps to balance hormone irregularities and to boost the immune system.
Honey – has antibacterial properties which helps to reduce dirt and bacteria. Use it to make a honey facial mask and apply at least once a week.
Exercise – a moderate amount of exercise helps the blood circulation and helps to eliminate toxins from your body.
Steam – using a bowl of hot salt water, place your head over the bowl, cover your head with a towel and let the steam do its work on your face.
Sunshine and fresh air stimulates vitamin D which is essential for healthy skin but don’t get sunburn or a suntan as this forms a layer on your skin that blocks the pores.
As you can see, there are many easy, inexpensive, and natural ways for dealing with acne, and the benefit from nature’s products is that you aren’t doing any harm to your body.
